Nicolas Puyjalon Works for Live Art Danmark2015 Three performances for Live Art for Børn 2 at Arken Art Museum in Ishøj Three PerformancesAt Live Art for Børn 2 Nicolas presented three different performances. All of them reacted directly to the space of Arken Museum, where the festival took place. He uses everyday materials he either finds at the venue or buys cheaply to install his body in an unusual relationship with space or architecture. His actions are always precarious, no sacred art here, we rather follow a slightly confused man at work, assembling chairs, foam tubes, balloons with lots of tape, in order to address and understand the architectural elements […]

Márcio Carvalho Works with Live Art Danmark 2014 “False Memories” at Live Art for Børn 1 2016 Co-Curator of COLAB Copenhagen False Memories Márcio performed “False Memories” at the first Live Art for Børn festival. Working with a polaroid camera, various plastic toys and pre-produced cardboard speech bubbles, he went through a series of critical questions and answers about adverstising, toys and video games with his young audience. The rackety soundtrack, playing loudly in the background, was composed of the voice overs of TV commercials for children’s toys and the beeps and explosions of early video games. COLAB Copenhagen In the Spring of 2016, Márcio co-curated COLAB Copenhagen with Live […]

They brought one of their signature pieces, Haircuts by Children. In the lovingly designed shop, adults (and other children) tested their […]
Louise Orwin Works with Live Art Danmark 2014 “Humiliation Piece” at Hitparaden 2 2016 “Pretty Ugly” at Live Art for Kids 3 Humiliation Piece “Humiliation Piece” is a one-woman show which puts the private world of a female masochist into the excruciatingly public arena of the theatre. Comic, awkward, and at times frightening, the performance asks what exactly an audience wants to see on stage, and challenges what we think of as ‘entertaining’ in performance. Louise performed “Humiliation Piece” at our Hitparaden 2 festival. Pretty Ugly Pretty Ugly originally started its life as a YouTube experiment. After noticing a world-wide trend of teenage girls posting videos asking viewers to rate […]

Chews Örn Alexander performed “Chews” at Samtalekøkken in December 2012. In a witty if slightly disgusting comment on processes of art production, he produced sculptural portraits of our audience by throroughly chewing cookies. For the first time in his performance work, he invited members of the audience to join him, and eight people accepted. Equipped with packets of biscuits, latex gloves and […]
