Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen

Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen Works for Live Art Danmark “Musique de Tables” and “Black Box Music” at Life Art for Children 2023. We felt especially honored that the reknowned national Danish ensemble for new and avantgarde music, Athelas Sinfonietta, came to join our Live Art for Children festival in Copenhagen in 2023. The two pieces they performed, one small, one massive, both made a lasting impression on our audiences with the precision and seriousness, with which they approached slightly bonkers comcepts. Musique de Tables In Thierry de Mey’s piece Musique de tables from 1985, as the name suggests, the table is used as a musical instrument. The work is written for […]

Blizzard Concept

Blizzard Concept

Blizzard Concept Works for Live Art Danmark 2022 “Neptunia” at Live Art for Børn, Aarhus Neptunia Kids were amazed to meet Neptunia, a circus plant that can actually dance. The French new circus and neo-magic group Blizzard Concept brought this completely unusual potted plant to Aarhus for us. She loooks like just another Schefflera Arboricola, but when on stage, she gently, but clearly visible to the naked eyes, sways to her very own rhythms. Even for the adventurous artists of Blizzard concept, it was a completely new and challenging experience to train a house plant. About Blizzard Concept In 2012, after graduating from Lido circus arts school, clown and juggler […]

Augusto Corrieri came to the 2022 edition of our Live Art festival for children in Aarhus, and he brought not one, but 2 performances. Was it really Augusto who came? There was also a magician called Vincent Gambini, who looks very much like Augusto. This is not a Magic Show This was a magic show about magic. Vincent takes us on a magic journey, visiting the invisible mechanics, the clichés, and what magic tells us about theater and make believe. But the show was […]

Madeleine Andersson

Madeleine Andersson

Madeleine Andersson Works for Live Art Danmark 2022 Petrosexuality at Friisland Live #4 Petrosexuality Madeleine was part of the fourth edition of our series of live events “Friisland Live”. She brought her performance lecture “Petrosexuality”, in which she speaks about her larger project of the same title, a massive exploration, in which she points out surprising systematic parallels between the heteronormativity and the fossile fuel addiction both still dominant in large parts of today’s societies of the Global North. Drilling, extraction and orgasmic, explosive discharges play some of the main roles on the fictional stage where the drama of this linguistic fantasy unfolds. There seems to be an entire subculture engaged […]

By mixing and eating more than 100 kg of salad with a large group of adults and children we took a banal, everyday activity out of its everyday context and made it into a […]

Ayaka Okutsu Works for Live Art Danmark 2014 “EL-O”, two performances for Hitparaden 2, with Stina Hasse and Daniel Cermak-Sassenrath EL-O Group Performance The performance EL-O that Ayaka created for our performance art festival was realised in collaboration with Stina Hasse and Daniel Cermak-Sassenrath. Dressed in lab coats like old school scientists, the performers set out to raise awareness for the electromagnetic signals that surround us everywhere, in the air we breathe as well as in the things we touch. Because normally we cannot see, hear or feel electromagnetic signals, the performers converted the signals into light and sound, making their beauty accessible for human senses. EL-O Solo The second […]
