Tomas Lagermand Lundme

Work for Live Art Denmark
2013 “A is for Abe” at Samtalekøkken, with Caspar Sloth.

A is for Abe
Tomas’ performance for Samtalekøkkenet in February 2013 was a performative reading from his book, ”A for abe og b for bavian – Nationalmuseets alfabet” from 2012 by the actor Casper Sloth. For Tomas, the reading was an investigation of presence in a situation with an audience present.

About the Artist
Tomas Lagermand Lundme received his artistic education at the Royal Art Academy of Denmark, graduating in 2002. During his studies, he also attended the writer’s school (Forfatterskolen), which is reflected in his current work as a writer of novels and for newspapers. Today, he works across disciplines, writing novels for adults and children, news articles, radio plays, but also as a photographer and an artist in performance, video and the visual genre. However, diciplines are never clearly separated in his work, but he strives to cross and interveave them in new ways.

See more about his multi-facetted work on his website.

Om liveart_dk

Liveart.dk was founded in 2004 in Copenhagen to promote the discussion, documentation and development of live art in Denmark. The organisation is equally inspired by the imaginative and entertaining English Live Art tradition as by the theoretical and political German theatre tradition. We have organised 10 large international festivals of Live Art for kids and adults since 2004, and over 40 discussion events, books, video series, symposia and more in the field of live art, performance art, art criticism and documentation. We collaborate with theatres, music venues, art museums and festivals in Denmark and internationally.
