Gob Squad’s Kitchen
Erik is a regular guest performer in the productions of Berlin based art collective Gob Squad. We brought them to Denmark for our festival Berliner Luft 4, where Erik performed in “Gob Squad’s Kitchen”, a journey back to 1965 in an attempt to remake Andy Warhol’s Kitchen. But as none of the performers has actually seen the original, they enlist audience members in a quest for the authentic.

Teheran Mon Amour
Erik Pold directed the performance “Teheran Mon Amour” with Daniel Nordback’s performance company Norpol. We showed the performance about the situation of homosexual men in Iran today at Hitparaden 1. It opens with a re-make of one of the greatest love stories on film: ”Hiroshima, mon amour”. But instead of a French woman and a Japanese man, two men – one Scandinavian, one Persian – perform the leading roles.

9 TO 5 IN 7,5
Erik created created the video “9 TO 5 IN 7,5″ for our video performance program Now and Again. In this timelapse video filmed and edited directly on the iPad, Erik documents an eight-hour workday through an hourly recording that gets shorter and shorter as the day advances. The performance plays with the logical paradox that time seems both relative and permanently accelerating.
