About the Artists
Platform is an artist-run initiative founded in the year of 2000. Platform holds a project room and a residency programme in Vasa, Finland. The aim of Platform is to promote, show and be part of producing international contemporary art.

Their events have periodically been based on different themes that served as a base for discussions as well as the content for the activities. Platform has dealt with themes such as Local-Global, questioning the role of contemporary art in the periphery; place and identity, investigating connections between site and personality; creative community, urban development and creativity.

The majority of Platform’s exhibitions and projects are results of their residency programme, that invites artists to produce a project or an exhibition in Vaasa.

Om liveart_dk

Liveart.dk was founded in 2004 in Copenhagen to promote the discussion, documentation and development of live art in Denmark. The organisation is equally inspired by the imaginative and entertaining English Live Art tradition as by the theoretical and political German theatre tradition. We have organised 10 large international festivals of Live Art for kids and adults since 2004, and over 40 discussion events, books, video series, symposia and more in the field of live art, performance art, art criticism and documentation. We collaborate with theatres, music venues, art museums and festivals in Denmark and internationally.
