Works for Live Art Danmark
2015 Three performances for Live Art for Børn 2 at Arken Art Museum in Ishøj

Three Performances
At Live Art for Børn 2 Nicolas presented three different performances. All of them reacted directly to the space of Arken Museum, where the festival took place. He uses everyday materials he either finds at the venue or buys cheaply to install his body in an unusual relationship with space or architecture. His actions are always precarious, no sacred art here, we rather follow a slightly confused man at work, assembling chairs, foam tubes, balloons with lots of tape, in order to address and understand the architectural elements of his choice: A wall, a corridor, a gallery.

About the Artist
Born in 1983 in France, Nicolas Puyjalon lives and works in Berlin. Using the theatrical language, he emphasizes the meditative properties of sound and images and brings the art close to the audience. His works are plunging the spectators in a contemplative environment and give them the sensation of being suspended in an unknown reality.

Om liveart_dk

Liveart.dk was founded in 2004 in Copenhagen to promote the discussion, documentation and development of live art in Denmark. The organisation is equally inspired by the imaginative and entertaining English Live Art tradition as by the theoretical and political German theatre tradition. We have organised 10 large international festivals of Live Art for kids and adults since 2004, and over 40 discussion events, books, video series, symposia and more in the field of live art, performance art, art criticism and documentation. We collaborate with theatres, music venues, art museums and festivals in Denmark and internationally.
