A is for Abe Tomas’ contribution to our Samtalekøkkenet in February 2013 was a performative reading of his book, ”A for abe og b for bavian – Nationalmuseets alfabet” from 2012. It was read by actor Casper Sloth, while Tomas sat next to him, staring. For Tomas, the reading was an investigation of presence in a situation with an audience present. Terra Nova Works for Live Art Denmark 2013 “Like/not like” at Samtalekøkken Like/not like At Samtalekøkken in February 2013, Jens Bäckvall and Christian Adelhorst Rossil, members of the performance collective Terra Nova, presented their open source project “Like/not like” in a performative lecture. Printed and laminated “thumbs up/down” symbols were passed out to the audience, and they were encouraged to like or dislike the presentation and the project at several times during the evening. The project is documented in a series of short videos on Jens Bäckvall’s Youtube channel. Søren Dahlgaard Work for Live Art Danmark 2011 “Dough Sculptures” at Samtalekøkken Dough Sculptures For the edition of Samtalekøkken held in May 2011, we invited Søren Dahlgaard who performed with two of his dough sculptures, working live in a performance with them for the first time, as he pointed out in an introductory speech. He also explained that one was a slow sculpture, while the other one was fast. Sofie Vollquarz Lebech Work for Live Art Danmark 2013 “(In)visibility” at Samtalekøkken (In)visibility We invited Sofie to perform at our Samtalekøkken at Kunsthal Nikolaj. Her investigation of (in)visibility began with her sitting for a long while at a table in front of a laptop, her face and body obscure, in the shadows. Behind her, phrases were projected on to a large  screen. They added up to a meditation on invisibility, identity and presence. We read in total silence.
