Eilidh MacAskill

Eilidh MacAskill is a Glasgow-based live artist who creates solo performance work and collaborative projects as artistic director of Fish And Game. These highly original works are entertaining and experimental both in their content and form, straddling theatre, live art and visual art. There is a particular focus on creating innovative work for children and their adults in a range of settings and contexts.

For Live Art for Børn 2016 she led a t-shirt workshop called “Gendersaurus Salon” together with Carl Michael Richardt:

Clothes says a lot about who you are. But what if you cannot choose for yourselves what your clothes say about you? Some clothing stores have not many options – pink for girls, blue for boys, princesses or pirates, flowers or trucks. But colors are just colors and things are just things. So why should our clothes be allowed to decide who we are?

About liveart_dk

Liveart.dk was founded in 2004 in Copenhagen to promote the discussion, documentation and development of live art in Denmark. The organisation is equally inspired by the imaginative and entertaining English Live Art tradition as by the theoretical and political German theatre tradition. We have organised 10 large international festivals of Live Art for kids and adults since 2004, and over 40 discussion events, books, video series, symposia and more in the field of live art, performance art, art criticism and documentation. We collaborate with theatres, music venues, art museums and festivals in Denmark and internationally.
