Taiwo Aiyedogbon Works for Live Art Danmark 2022 Artist in Residence, “Asiweju” live performance, “Gèlèdè”, site-specific VR performance at Friisland, recipe for Performance Opskrifter. Asiweju In May of 2022, Taiwo was our artist in residence. For the fourth event of our series of regular performance events at our project space Friisland, Taiwo developed and presented ”Asiweju”, an participatory performance walk. Drawing from her research into Nigerian women leaders, Taiwo explored how national histories are written and popularized. Tom Cassani Works for Live Art Danmark 2022 VR-Installations for Live Art for Børn VR Installations Tom participated in our festival of Live Art for children in 2022. Especially for the festival venue DOKK!, he created three site-specific, non-verbal VR recordings. Dani Ploeger Work for Live Art Denmark 2022, performance lecture on his VR work “Frontline”, Friisland Live #6, Friisland. Frontline The Dutch artist and activist Dani Ploeger travelled to the Eastern frontline of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia long before the official beginning of the war. Sif Hedegård Work for Live Art Danmark2021 “Out of Body Garment”, two performances and exhibition “Performance/Textiles” Out of Body GarmentSif was among the first artists to perform and exhibit her work at our project space Friisland. For “Out of Body Garment” she manipulated, altered and processed pieces of clothing and other materials into new shapes that resembled organic beings, prothesis and machine parts. Kosmologym Work with Live Art Danmark 2019 “Probaball” at Live Art for Børn Probaball Kosmologym developed a series of performative games that allow participants to encounter political and ethical issues in original, practical and even fun ways. Probaball explores and practices the ways insurances function to minimise risks. Alluding to the increasing amount of extreme freak weather incidents caused by climate change they say that insurance “was born in flames but may be extinguished by floods”. Probaball examines the institution of insurance through a collective risk protection game. Kirsten Justesen Work with Live Art Danmark 2019/20 “Ice Hands”, performance score for “Playing Up” Ice Hands Some artists create marble and stone sculptures that last for thousands of years. Kirsten Justesen began early on to work with her own body as a form, and later with ice as a material. Her sculptures do not last forever, because the ice and the body, which are both shaped by nature’s processes, change and disappear with time.
